Ever Evolving Inc had the honor to support Homestretch Virginia’s Operation Backpack. Operation Backpack provided a new backpack and school supplies to children in the Homestretch program.
The mission of Homestretch is to empower homeless families with children living in Virginia to attain permanent housing and self-sufficiency by giving them the skills, knowledge and hope they need to become productive participants in the community. Homestretch is designed to address the root causes of homelessness for each family in their program and reverse it. Many of their clients arrive at their doorstep in fervent despair. Many are fleeing for their lives from domestic abuse. Many are trapped in the cycle of poverty. All of clients have children under the age of 18.
Homestretch was designed to have comprehensive services to gather each family, address each dynamic, and enable permanent change. Homestretch families are able to achieve transformational change because they have the chance to address every problem in their lives with sufficient support to make swift and lasting progress.
We joined the Homestretch team to fill a brand-new backpack for our sponsored 3rd grade child. After filling the new back with pencils, pens, erasers, scissors, glue sticks, paper and a whole host of additional items, Homestretch invited us to have dinner in their Tutoring Center.
